Our Concept for Quarry Falls
Our plan will help meet San Diego’s need for entry-level, workforce, and senior homes with a mix of low, medium, and high density homes designed to fit in with the property’s surrounding neighborhoods.
Our concept for Quarry Falls also calls for an 17.5-acre public park and associated civic areas, 4.5 acres of neighborhood pocket parks and finger parks, a network of walking trails, and 42.5 acres of restored open space, as well as a vibrant shopping and dining area with live/work opportunities, a childcare center, a San Diego River/Mission Valley Heritage museum, space for new jobs, a fire station site, and Mission Valley’s first public school.
Quarry Falls is designed to reduce the dependency on cars, with a shuttle system, a hybrid car sharing program, and a network of hiking and biking trails close to the trolley stop.
In addition, we have made sustainable, environmentally sensitive design a priority. For example, we have incorporated green landscape features like bioswales and native, drought-resistant plants, and we have designed the site to allow every building to maximize the potential use of solar energy.
